Thread lift

Dissolvable threads that gently lift and stimulate collagen, with no incisions and minimal downtime.

Good for

  • Mild to moderate jowls and jawline sagging
  • Flattened cheeks and nasolabial folds
  • A low or heavy brow position
  • Early neck laxity

What is a thread lift?

A thread lift places fine, dissolvable PDO (polydioxanone) threads under the skin. Some threads have tiny cogs that gently reposition tissue for an immediate lift. Others work mainly by stimulating collagen, which improves firmness over the following months.

How it works

The area is numbed with local anaesthetic, then the threads are inserted through tiny entry points using a fine needle or cannula. You’ll leave with no stitches, and most people return to work within a few days.

Aftercare

  1. Avoid wide mouth opening, chewing gum and facial massage for 2 weeks.
  2. Sleep on your back with your head raised for 5 nights.
  3. No dental treatment, saunas or intense exercise for 2 weeks.

Results vary from person to person. A medical consultation is required to confirm suitability.

Questions about Thread lift

Are threads safe?

PDO threads are made of a dissolvable surgical suture material that the body absorbs over 6–9 months. In experienced hands, and for the right candidates, they are a safe option.

Who is a good candidate?

Threads suit people with mild to moderate laxity and good skin quality. For heavier sagging, surgery may be more appropriate, and Dr. Arwa will tell you honestly.
